Gustav Kieseritzky

Gustav Kieseritzky was a highly decorated Vizeadmiral in the Kriegsmarine during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gustav Kieseritzky was killed onNovember 1943 during the KerchEltigen Operation. He was posthumously awarded the Knights Cross onNovember 1943.
